ADHD Pre-screening Assessments & Neurodivergent Coaching Sessions - Remote Access
Let’s be honest — if you’ve ever gone from fine to fury in 0.5 seconds, or cried because your favourite mug broke (even though you weren’t that attached to it 10 minutes ago), you’re not alone.
This isn’t you being dramatic. This could be emotional dysregulation — and it’s very common in ADHD brains.
The good news? Emotional resilience can be learned. With the right support, you can understand your emotional patterns, reduce reactivity, and build tools that help you bounce back faster — without suppressing what you feel.
Emotional dysregulation means your emotions go big, fast, and sometimes sideways — and your ability to manage or respond to those emotions doesn’t always keep up.
It’s like having your brain hit the emotional accelerator without checking if your brakes are working. To others, it might look like an “overreaction,” but to you, it feels real, intense, and immediate. (And frankly, kind of exhausting.)
It’s not about being sensitive — it’s about having a nervous system that’s on high alert, a brain that’s struggling to filter signals, and a body that reacts before you’ve had a chance to pause.
Why it’s linked to ADHD
Now, here's the twist: emotional dysregulation isn’t officially one of the three core ADHD symptoms (those being hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsivity). But if you live with ADHD, you probably thought: “Wait — it should be.”
And you’re not wrong.
Current research increasingly shows that emotional dysregulation — along with things like rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD) — is more than just a side effect. It’s often a core part of the ADHD experience. It’s tied to executive dysfunction, meaning your brain has trouble managing emotional input just like it struggles with time, focus, or task-switching.
You’re Not “Too Much.” You’re Overloaded.
If this sounds like you, you’re not broken — you’re likely overstimulated, under-supported, and maybe running on a nervous system that never quite got the memo it’s safe to rest.
The good news?
Emotional dysregulation and emotional resilience is something we can work with. You can learn how to name it, regulate it, and even prevent some of those spirals before they start. It’s not about “controlling” your emotions — it’s about understanding them and responding differently over time.
Whether you're dealing with emotional outbursts, shut-downs, RSD, or just want to feel less like you're on an emotional rollercoaster with no seatbelt — we’re here.
This is what we work on in ADHD coaching, therapy, and nervous system support sessions. You’ll get tools, not lectures. Strategies, not shame.
Book a discovery call if you’d like to talk.
Or don’t — we get the whole “I’m overwhelmed just opening the calendar” thing too.
We're here when you're ready.
