David Downes brings a blend of senior clinical expertise, lived experience, and professional maturity to the DRD Consulting advisory framework.
Before training as an accredited psychotherapist, David had a varied career including service in the Royal Navy, leadership in private enterprise, and running a successful technology business experiences that contribute rigour, perspective, and calm judgement to his clinical work. Following retraining, he developed substantial experience in psychological and neurodiversity-aware support, working with individuals across complex life contexts. His own late-life ADHD diagnosis further informs his understanding of neurodivergent experience.
In his advisory role, David contributes to service pathway development, practitioner alignment, and governance frameworks. He does not receive income, fees, or financial benefit from the company.

Rebecca Downes brings extensive clinical experience, leadership insight, and personal depth to her advisory role with DRD Consulting Ltd.
Her professional journey spans strategic human resources and organisational consulting before retraining alongside David as an accredited psychotherapist. Through clinical practice she has worked with adults navigating neurodiversity-related challenges, trauma, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Her lived experience including neurodiversity and complex life stressors informs a compassionate, grounded approach to psychological support.
As a clinical advisor, Rebecca supports the design of service pathways, governance thinking, and the translation of clinical insight into thoughtful structures for remote pre-screening and coaching services. She does not receive any income, fees, or financial benefit from the company.
